1 1/2 kitchen teaspoon salt
1 kitchen teaspoon baking powder
6/7 cups flour
sift or whisk together
1 cup/handful crisco/lard
warm water to mix/36 ounces

Directions:
Directions:
mix dough by hand, form into a sticky, dry, bread like dough. Form into a ball and coat it with crisco/lard-mix in. Cover the dough with a towel and let it sit as you are getting the skillet ready. Squeeze out little dough balls and pat into a palm sized patty. Roll the dough out in a circular shape. Place on griddle until one side bubbles. Flip and cook other side. Both sides should be browned and tortilla well cooked, not doughy.
