Chuck's Lasagna Recipe

1 - 8 oz pkg lasagna
1 T olive oil
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 lb hot Italian sausage
2 chopped green onions
2 minced garlic cloves
1 T parsley
32 oz spaghetti sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 lb mozzarella or jack cheese
1/2 lb ricotta or cottage cheese
5 T grated Romano or Parmesan
6 qts water
2 T olive oil

Brown beef and pork in a skillet with 1 T olive oil, onion, garlic and parsley. Add spaghetti sauce and salt and pepper. Simmer 1/2 hour. While sauce is cooking, bring 6 qts water to a boil. Add 2 T salt and 2 T olive oil and lasagna. Cook 18 minutes. Drain and rinse pasta in cold water. In a 13x9x2 pan, layer first meat sauce, then lasagna, then cheeses. Repeat sequence until all ingredients are used. Bake 25 minutes @ 375.
