2 cups diced apples (leave peel on)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup oil
1 egg, beaten
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Topping
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
Directions:
1.Preheat oven to 350º. Grease and flour 8 or 9-inch square pan.
2. Into a large mixing bowl, mix apples and sugar. Toss well. Let stand 15 minutes.
3. Mix oil, vanilla and beaten egg. Mix together. Add to apples. Mix by hand.
4. Mix flour, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg and salt. Add to mix.
5. Add nuts and stir.
6. Pour into pan. Mix topping. Sprinkle evenly over top.
7. Bake for 45 minutes.
