2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1 level tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour, more or less
1/2 lb. raisins, if desired
Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add remaining ingredients. Add flour to stiffen, about 4 cups. Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 8 - 10 minutes or til light brown.
