Meatballs-Sweet & Sour (Granny Grace) Recipe

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
2/3 C crushed crackers
1/3 C grated onion
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 t salt
1/4 t ginger
1/4 C milk
2 T cornstarch/flour
2/3 C brown sugar
1/3 C vinegar
1 T soy sauce
1/3 C green pepper, chopped fine
13 1/2 oz can crushed pineapple

Mix all MEATBALL ingredients and form into golf sized balls. Add olive oil to skillet and cook slowly until brown. Set aside. Drain juice from pineapple and add to saucepan, then add rest of SAUCE ingredients, except pineapple. Heat to boil, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Place meatballs back in skillet and pour mixture over all and add crushed pineapple, mix well. Simmer on low for 20-30 minutes.
