2 sticks of softened butter
7/8 cup of sifted confectioners sugar
2 cups of flour, before sifting

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, add sugar and mix well. Add 1 cup flour sifted in, mix well, add the rest of flour sifted in a little at a time, then knead with hand till mixture is pliable and bowl is clean. Press mixture into 7x11 or 8x10 or 9x9 inch pan. Make it even and prick generously with a fork. Bake 20 min. at 350º, then 20 min. at 320º, when it should be light brown. Cut into fingers and put them on a cake rack. Turn off oven and put fingers back in oven on rack for 5-6 minutes to dry out. Leave till cold before putting in tin.
