1 cup karo syrup
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1 can evaporated milk

Directions:

Combine syrup and sugar in heavy pan. Stir until mixed together on medium high. PUt lid on and boil for 5 minutes with lid on. Take off stove. Add butter. Stir hard! Bring back to boil. Add milk *SLOWLY* .....drizzle milk with hole in can....the slower, the creamier. Cook to soft ball stage. Can cook to less than soft ball stage if you want to dip individual pieces into caramel like fondue. If you want to dip whole apple in, cook to soft ball stage so it will cling to apply.
