2 onions, thinly sliced
1/4 Cup butter
6 pork chops
salt and pepper to taste
1 Cup chicken broth
1 Cup white wine or chicken broth
1 bay leaf
4 carrots, peeled and sliced
3 potatoes, peeled and quartered

Directions:
Directions:
saute onions in butter in a 12" skillet until golden add pork chops. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; heat until browned on both sides. Pour in broth and wine; add bay leaf. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours; add vegetables. Cover and simmer for an additional 1 1/2 hours
