1/2 cup Crisco
1 stick butter or oleo
1 cup water
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1/2 cup buttermilk

Icing
1 stick butter or oleo
6 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Pecans (if desired)
Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400º. Grease and flour 13x9-inch baking pan.
2. Mix Crisco, butter, water and cocoa in pan on stove. Bring to boil.
3. Mix flour sugar, cinnamon and eggs in a large bowl.
4. Add soda to 1/2 cup buttermilk. Stir in vanilla. Add to flour mixture. Pour boiled mixture into buttermilk and flour mixture.
5. Pour into pan. Bake for 20 minutes.
6. Bring butter, milk, and cocoa to boil on stove. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Add pecans, if desired.
7. Pour on hot cake as soon as cake comes out of the oven.
