2 pkgs active dry yeast
5 to 5 1/2 cups flour (all purpose or bread flour)
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup oil
2 cups hot tap water (120-130)

Directions:
Directions:
Put yeast, 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and oil into large mixing bowl. Mix well. Stir in hot water. Beat with spoon until mixture is smooth and satiny. Slowly add 3 more cups of flour until dough pulls away from sides. Cover and let stand 10 minutes. Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead until smooth and satiny. Place dough into greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled. Punch down and divide into two parts, place into two greased loaf pans and let rise again until doubled. Bake at 375º 40-45 minutes or until loaves sound hollow when tapped. Brush tops with butter.

OTHER OPTIONS

Before you shape into loaves you can roll out dough into rectangles and add 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1 cup raisins and roll up tight and place in pans.

or

Put one portion of dough into a iron skillet, and form dough to fit skillet. Makes great pizza dough. Add pizza sauce, cheese and your favorite toppings and bake.
