1 cup split peas
2 cups water
1 can consomme
1 carrot sliced
1 onion sliced
2 stalks celery
salt and pepper to taste
milk to thin soup

Directions:
Directions:
Wash peas. Place in large kettle with water, consomme and vegetables. Cook slowly until peas are tender (about 1 hr.) Put through sieve. makes about 1 qt. thick puree. Thin with milk to desired consistency.
