4 eggs
1 box light brown sugar
2 cups Bisquick
2 cups chopped pecans or walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Icing:
4 oz. cream cheese
1/2 stick margarine
1/2 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cake: Mix all ingredients together and pour into an ungreased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely and ice.

Icing: Combine all ingredients and beat until smooth.

You'll understand why it's called "Sad Cake" when it comes out of the oven. I got this recipe many years ago from my friend Joan Stout.
