Sift together...
2 cups sifted flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg

Add...
1/4 cup oil
3/4 cup milk
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Stir with fork until thoroughly mixed. Drop by teaspoonfuls (If the puffs are too large, they will not cook through) into 375º (hot) oil. Fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Roll in confectioners sugar or glaze.

Doughnut Glaze...
Add 1/2 cup boiling water gradually to 1 cup confectioners sugar. Mix well. Dip warm doughnuts in warm glaze.
