4 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsps. warm water
little vanilla flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Beat yolks until very thick, add sugar a little at a time. Add water and vanilla. Beat egg whites until thick and add to yolk mixture. Add flour. Grease and flour 2 layer cake tins and divide mixture. Bake at 375º for 20-30 minutes. Cake is ready when finger lightly pressed on it does not leave a dent. Turn out and cool on racks. Put together with jam and sprinkle confectioner sugar on top.

I don't remember this cake, but it seems as though it is not frosted. Choose a jam and use it as the filling!
