Pastry to line and cover 9X13 inch pan.
Filling: 1lb currants
1 Cup applesauce
1 grated rind and juice of a lemon
1 cupbrown sugar

Directions:
Cook together the filling for a few minutes. Cool slightly. Spread on pastry and cover with remaining pastry. Brush with milk and prick well. Bake at 350 for a half hour.
