1 c. shortening
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. salted nuts
1 c. crushed cornflakes or Rice Krispies

Directions:
Beat together shortening and sugars. Add the eggs and vanilla, beat well. Add the remaining ingredients. Bake @ 375º 12-15 minutes.
