2 quarts pitted cherries (can use tart ones)
2 1/2 cup sugar
6 TLB Cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
2 1/2 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cherries with sugar and 2 cups ater. Boil gently without stirring for 5 min until foaming ceases. Combine remaining ngredienets. Mix well. Add to cooked cherries. Stir just well enough to distribute starch into cherries. Bring to gentle boil. Boil 1 min. Pour into quart jars leaving 1 inch head space. Hot water bath---process 40 minutes.
