3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 -1/2 cups sifted flour
2 tsps. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup sliced apples

Streusel Mixture:
Mix:
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
2 tablespoons flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
mix thoroughly sugar, butter, egg. Stir in milk. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and stir into sugar mixture. Spread in a greased, floured 9" square pan and top with layer of apples. Spread streusel mixture over apples. Bake at 375º for 25 to 35 mins.
