1/2 raisins
9 T. butter, room temp.
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. quick oats
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Cover raisins with water in saucepan and boil. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes. Drain and chop coarsely. Cream butter and sugar with mixer at medium speed. Fold in remaining ingredients. Form balls and place on greased sheet. Press flat with fork dipped in cold water. bake 6-9 minutes.

Boiling the raisins first makes the raisins much softer, thus the kids enjoy the taste of the cookies without hesitating at the texture of the raisins.
