2 TB. veg. oil
4 TB. Hoisen sauce
1 lb. chicken, cut into strips
2 TB. soy sauce
1 red pepper, cut into strips
1 tsp. sugar
1 green pepper, cut into strips
1/4 c. water
1 onion, cut into strips
dash of dried basil
3-4 garlic cloves
hot cooked rice

Brown the chicken, veggies and garlic in the oil, till cooked through and browned nicely. Add the remaining ingredients, except the rice, simmer a few minutes and serve over rice.

This recipe came from one of Rachael Ray's cookbooks, and it is very popular in our house. I usually serve something like this with carrots and a roll of some sort.
