3/4 cups Crisco (use the blocks!)
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 cups plain flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ginger
extra sugar to roll balls in

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients with a mixer. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Bake 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for about 9 minutes.
Bakes 3 to 4 dozen.
