2 eggs slightly beaten
1 can solid pack pumpkin
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp.salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 can evaporated milk or 1-2/3 cups half and half
1 9 inch unbaked pie crust

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º. Combine filling ingredients in order given. Beat until filling is frothy and thickened. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR A LIGHT FILLING. Pour into pie shell and bake at 425º for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350º and continue baking for 45 minutes or until center is firm to touch. Cool and garnish with whipped topping.
