1 Lb. Ground Beef
1 Med. Onion, chopped
1 Can (10 oz.) diced tomatoes and green chilies
1/2 C. uncooked long grain rice
1/2 TSP. dried oregano
1/4 to 1/2 TSP. black pepper
4 to 6 drops hot pepper sauce
1 small head cabbage, chopped
1 Med. bell pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 Can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 TSP. salt
1/2 TSP. dried basil
1/4 to 1/2 TSP. white pepper
1/4 to 1/2 TSP. cayenne pepper
1 C. (4 oz.) shredded Colby Cheese

Directions:

Cook beef, green pepper, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, rice and seasonings. Spread into an ungreased 9 x 13 in baking dish. Top with cabbage and cheese. Cover, bake at 350º for 65 to 75 minutes or until the rice is tender.
