1 Beef Round Steak cut 1 inch thick
1/4 cup flour
3 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 medium onion
1 clover garlic,, minced
3 TLB drippings
1/4 cup water
1 tsp worchestershire sauce
1 can mushrooms stems & pieces
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
1/4 cup catsup
1 cup applesauce
1/4 tsp oregano
1/8 tsp rosemary
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

Directions:
Cut steak into 4-6 serving size pieces. combing flour, salt and pepper. Dredge meat in flour mixture and cook in drippings with onion and garlic. Pour off drippings. Add water and worchestershire sauce. Cover tightly and cook slowly for 2 hours. Add can of mushrooms. Combine tomato paste, catsup, applesauce, oregano, rosemary, and cayenne pepper together. Pour over cooked steak and continue cooking for 30 minutes. Serve gravy with steak
