4 cups (about 1-1/2 lbs.) Brussel sprouts
3 T firmly packed brown sugar
2 T cider vinegar
1 T Dijon mustard
2 tsp. butter
Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Remove and discard coarse outer leaves and trim ends from Brussel sprouts . Make a 1/4 inch deep X in the bottom of the sprouts with a paring knife. It shortens the cooking time. Then rinse sprouts, drain, and place on a rack in a large pan above 1 inch of boiling water. Cover and steam, keeping water at a steady boil, until sprouts are tender when pierced (about 10 minutes ).
When sprouts are almost done, combine sugar, vinegar, mustard, and butter in a wide (preferably non-stick) frying pan. Cook over medium high heat, stirring, until mixture bubbles vigorously. Stir in sprouts; season to taste with salt.
