2/3 C butter or margarine, softened
1 C sugar
3 eggs
1 2/3 C milk
2 1/3 C flour
1 C cornmeal
4 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Combine eggs & milk.
Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture ALTERNATING with egg mixture. Pour into a greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 22 to 27 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cut into squares & serve warm.
