1 c. milk
1/4 c. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
3 T. butter
2 eggs
1 t. salt
4 c. flout
6 T. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 grated orange rind

Directions:
Directions:
Heat milk, but do not boil. Add butter to melt and cool milk. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine milk mixture, eggs, sugar, salt, and 1 c. of the flour. Mix. Add yeast. Mix thoroughly. Cover and raise 1 hour, then add the 3 cups more of flour. Cover and raise 1 hour. Mix together the 6T. butter, 1/2 c. sugar, and orange rind in small bowl. Roll out dough on floured surface into large rectangle. Spread orange mixture on dough. Roll up jelly roll fashion. Cut into 24 pieces using sharp knife or thread (thread is easiest). Put in greased muffin tins and raise 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Bake 8-10 min. at 400º oven.

these take a lot of raising time but they are easy to make in a kitchen aid. This is my grandmother's recipe and we enjoy them every Christmas dinner.
