1 1/2 - 2 lbs. round steak or sirloin
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic
3 tsp. instant onions, soaked in 3 tbsp. water
1 can sliced mushrooms
1/4 tsp. parisienne
1 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. sherry or red wine
1/4 c. dry vermouth
1 1/2 tbsp. chicken stock, dissolved in 2 c. water

Directions:

Cut the meat into cubes, flour and brown. Add mushrooms and onions and mix well. Pour in chicken stock and vermouth, season with parisienne. Cover and simmer one hour or until meat is tender. Stir occasionally. Just before serving stir in sour cream and sherry.

Spice Parisienne
1/2 c. freshly ground white pepper
1/2 c. ground cloves
2 tbsp. freshly grated nutmeg
