1. lb great northern white beans
1 qt warter
1 qt fat free veg broth
2 garlic cloves minced or more
1/4 c. chopped parsley
3 tbsp olive (EVOO)
11/4 t. salt I use sea salt
1/2 t. pepper I use ground pepper
I also use a baqy leaf
you can use any spice of your choice
if you use fresh put it in at the end
if you use dried use it at the beginnning

Place beans in a lg soup pot .
cover with water and bring to a boil. cook 2 minutes remove from heat, cover pot and allow to stand for 1 hr. drain diwcard warter.
combine beans and 1 qt fresh warter,and broth in slow cooker.
saute garlic and parsley in olive oil in skillet. stil into slow cooker ,stir in salt and pepper
cover and cookon low for 8 to 10 hrs.

if your not using a corck pot cut down on your cooking time in 1/2

I always use sea salt so much better, and I try to use fresh herbs, but if you cant put the herbs in first

if you want to use meat cook off first drain and add to soup last hour.
