1/2 C shortening
1 C sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 C (canned) solid pack pumpkin
2 C sifted flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1 C raisins
1 C chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, add shortening, adding sugar gradually. Cream until light & fluffy. Add beaten eggs and pumpkin & mix well.

In a 2nd bowl, sift flour, baking powder, salt & spices together, stirring until well mixed.

Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until blended. Add raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 15 minutes.
