1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
pinch of pepper
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 pkg. Red Star instant blend yeast
1 1/2 c. flour
2 T. sugar
1 tsp. salt
Pinch of thyme, marjoram, oregano
2 eggs, room temperature
1/2 c. hot milk
1/4 c. melted butter

In 10 in. round skillet, brown ground beef & onions. Stir in salt, sugar, pepper & tomato sauce. Simmer while preparing bread.
In mixing bowel, place dry yeast: top (in this order) flour, sugar, salt, spices, eggs, milk & butter. Blend. Then beat at medium speed 3 to 5 min. Spoon over hot beef mixture. Drizzle with melted butter. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Let stand in warm place 30 min. Bake in preheated 350º oven 25 to 30 min. Let stand few min.; turn out on serving plate. Serve hot.

Chris & Eric loved this. We had it when Jerry was gone. For variation; sprinkle 1 c. mozzarella cheese on meat mixture before spooning on bread.
