3/4 c milk
2 pkg yeast
1/3 c sugar
1 egg
4 tsp butter
1/3 c warm water
about 4 c flour
SYRUP:
1 c brown sugar
1 c dark Karo© corn syrup
3 Tbsp butter
FILLING:
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c chopped nuts
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk and allow to cool. Add water. Sprinkle on yeast then sugar. Let stand a few minutes. Add 1/2 of the flour, the egg and salt. Beat until smooth. Turn out on lightly floured board. Knead until smooth. Turn in greased bowl and let rise until doubled in bulk. Punch down and divide in half. Roll into a 9 x 14" rectangle. Spread with 1 tablespoon butter and sprinkle with 1/2 of the filling. Roll up from the 9" side. Seal edges. Cut into 1" pieces place cut side down in syrup. Let rise until almost double. Repeat with second half of dough. Bake 35 minutes at 350º.
To make SYRUP: mix brown sugar, Karo©, and butter. Heat and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Pour into two 9" square pans.
To make FILLING: combine brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon
