1 C. Shortening
1 1/2 C. Sugar
2 eggs
Dash of Salt
2 3/4 C. Flour
2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt. Cream shortening and sugar. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Chill until you can handle the dough. Roll in small balls the size of hickory nuts. Have ready a mixture of 1 Tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Roll the cookie ball in this mixture. Place on cookie sheet but now too close. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
