1 lg. cabbage, shredded
1 tsp. salt
1 med. onion. finely chopped
1 c. white vinegar
1 gr. pepper, finely chopped
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery seed
1 c. oil


Directions:
Directions:
Layer veggies in a large bowl. Pour 1 cup of sugar over veggies and do not stir. Bring to a boil the above ingredients and pour over the slaw. Do not stir. Cover with a lid, refrigerate, and it's ready to enjoy in 24 hours or overnight. You can make this first thing in the morning and it will be ready by evening.

This is a delicious recipe that mom put in our church cookbook a few years ago. I have a hard not wanting to stir it but try to follow the directions! I added a little shredded carrots for color. LW
