3 lb red or white potatoes (about 9 med pot)
6 cloves of garlic
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. heavy whipping cream
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 tsp salt
Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Put potatoes and cloves of garlic in saucepan. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook covered 20 to 25 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain potatoes.
Mash potatoes and garlic in pan with potato masher.
In 1 qt sauce pan, heat milk, whipping cream, butter, salt and pepper over med-low heat. Stir occasionally, until butter is melted; reserve and refrigerate 1/4 c of the mixture.
Add remaining milk mixture in small amounts to potatoes, mashing after each addition, until potatoes are light and fluffy.
Spray 2 qt casserole with cooking spray. Spoon potatoes in casserole, cover and refrigerate up to 24 hrs in advance.
Heat oven to 350º. Pour reserved milk mixture over potatoes. Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes or until hot. Stir before serving.
