1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup grated potato
1 cup grated carrot
1 cup grated apple
1 cup raisins
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
chopped walnuts (opt)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix in all ingredients in the order given. Spoon into a well greased 10 cup pudding pan. (Note: coffee tins work well)
Cover with foil, tying the sides down with a string. Put them into a steamer with boiling water halfway up the sides of the pudding tins. Steam for 3-4 hours, adding more boiling water from the kettle as needed.
