Ingredients: 2 cups boiling water 1 pkg. (8-serving size) or 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Cranberry Flavor Gelatin 1 can (8 oz.) jellied cranberry sauce, broken up with fork 1 cup cold water 1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP, thawed, divided

Directions:Stir boiling water into cranberry gelatin mix in a large bowl with a wire whisk for 2 minutes or until completely dissolved.
Add cranberry sauce; stir until well blended. Stir in cold water. Pour 1 1/2 cups of gelatin mixture into a 6-cup mold sprayed with cooking spray.
Refrigerate approximately 45 minutes or until set but not firm. (Gelatin should stick to finger.)
Refrigerate the remaining gelatin mixture for approximately 45 minutes or until thickened (a spoon drawn through the center of it leaves a definite impression).
When it is the desired thickness, stir in 2 cups of the COOL WHIP until well blended. Pour this mixture over the gelatin in the mold.
Refrigerate 4 additional hours or until firm. Unmold. Serve with additional whipped topping if desired. Store leftovers in the refrigerator. |
