1 lb. dry lentils (2 1/3 c.)
1 c. chopped onions
1 1/2 c. chopped carrots
1 c.chopped celery
1/4 c. snipped parsley
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dried marjoram,crushed
1/8 tsp pepper
A large meaty ham bone

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse lentils; place in slow electric crockery cooker. Add vegetables, parsley, and bay leaf. Stir in salt, marjoram, & pepper; place ham bone top. Add 7 cups water.Cover, cook on low heat setting for 9 to 11 hours. Lift ham bone from soup. Remove meat from bone;discard bone.Return meat to cooker;season to taste. Remove bay leaf.
