1 lb flat meat or flank steak
1/2 cup oil (olive or regular)
1/4 cup white vinegar
3 tbsp. maple syrup
1 cup Coca-Cola (don't use Pepsi or Diet)
4 spoonfuls Italian dressing powder
2 spoonfuls basil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine meat with all ingredients. Marinate 24 hours, if possible. For maximum flavor, don't grill. Either sauté meat or use sizzler platter or broiler (a wok also works well). For extra sauce, boil leftover marinade for several minutes.

This recipe came from the Stockyard restaurant, right outside Boston. Kyle's parents know the owners, who passed on this recipe. They're pretty serious about only using Coke. KEB
