Western Beef Pie Recipe

1 lb. gr. beef, browned
1 can corn, drained
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 c. lowfat shredded Cheddar cheese
3/4 BBQ sauce ( Ken Davis low sodium)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder

1 c. flour
1/2 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter (soft)
1 egg
2 T. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shredded cheese

Combine all of crust ingredients except 1/2 c. cheese ( use that in filling). Mix well and spread on bottom and up sides of greased baking dish ( 8" pie plate or casserole) or oven proff skillet.
Mix ground beef and filling ingredients together.
Pour filling into crust, sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake uncovered at 400 for 25-30 mins.
