1 cup butter
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
dash of salt
1 cup light syrup
1 can (15 oz.) condensed milk
1 tbsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a HEAVY pan. Add brown sugar and salt; stir well. Blend in syrup gradually; then add milk. STIR ALL THE TIME! Cook and stir over medium heat to 244º ( may take 20 min or more). Remove from heat. Cool a minute or two. Add vanilla. Put in buttered tin disposable pan. Put in freezer to cool and harden. Remove from freezer. Peel off pan, cut into squares and wrap in plastic wrap.

These are awesome!! My friend Heather makes them for special occasions at work. I love them. Her recommendation is to not eat them all at once but God knows I've tried.
