¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 sticks margarine
¼ cup cocoa (Hershey’s) semi-sweet
1 cup water
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
½ cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda


Fudge Frosting:
1 stick butter
¼ cup + 2 tablespoons buttermilk
¼ cup cocoa
1 – 16 oz. box powdered sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º

Combine- flour, sugar, soda, salt
Melt margarine in saucepan, add cocoa and water (medium heat) – bring to a boil and remove from heat
Add vanilla
Pour the hot ingredients over the flour mixture.
Mix thoroughly
Add eggs and buttermilk
Pour into greased and floured pan 15x12x2
Bake 300 for 30 minutes

Prepare fudge frosting-
Combine butter, buttermilk and cocoa in saucepan.
Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Add – powdered sugar and vanilla
Spread over cake while still warm and in same pan.
