8 oz. low fat cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup non-fat cottage cheese
3/4 cup shredded low fat sharp cheddar cheese
4 tsp. horseradish powder (from Penzeys) reconstituted with 6 tsp. water or 2 tbsp. prepared horseradish
4 drops yellow food coloring
2 drops red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Put cream cheese and cottage cheese in the bowl of a food processor. Process until smooth. Add cheddar cheese. Process again until smooth. Add horseradish and food coloring (if desired). Process until smooth and food coloring is evenly distributed. Put cheese mixture into a small serving dish. Cover and chill at least one hour or overnight.

We have long enjoyed Owls Nest brand horseradish cheese spread on our visits to Door County. This is a reasonable imitation that's a little healthier than the original.
