John's Cherry Platz Recipe

1 tsp. yeast
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 cup warm water

1/2 cup marg.
2 eggs
2 cup flour
1 tsp. salt

Icing
2 cup icing sugar
1/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first three ingredients until foamy. In a bowl mix next four ingredients and add the yeast mixture. Add more flour if needed. Divide the dough in half. Roll out first half 1/4" thick and put into a 10x13 inch cookie sheet. Fill with a can of cherry pie filling. Roll out the second half and put on top of the pie filling. Pinch all the ends and prick top of dough with a fork to let the steam escape.
Bake at 350 deg. for 30 minutes.
Top the platz with icing as soon as it comes out of the oven.
