½ teaspoon powdered ginger
1 ½ cup long grain white rice
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups cold water
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer – 20 minutes.

1 cup diced, cooked chicken
1 cup thawed frozen green peas
½ cup chopped celery
3 stalks green onion
¼ cup parsley
½ cup bell pepper
½ cup raisins
1 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons curry powder
Combine with rice.

Top with-
½ cup slivered almonds – brown on top of stove in butter
