4 medium sized potatoes diced into cubes
1 medium sized onion diced into small cubes
4 Tbs butter
3 cups of milk
Water
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium sauce pan, add your potatoes and onions. Add water just enough to cover potatoes. Add 2 tsp salt and a 1/4 tsp pepper and boil until potatoes are cooked. To tell if they are done, you can stick a fork in a potato and it will be soft. Now, add 3 cups of milk and 4 Tbs butter and bring to a boil again. Taste to make sure enough salt is added. You can add cheese to soup if desired.
