2 3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. butter, softened (you can cheat and use margarine)

1 can evaporated milk--do not dillute

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time. Mix dry ingredients. Alternate adding milk and dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Pour into a WELL greased Bundt pan or a 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 60+ minutes if using a Bundt or 35 minutes if using a 9x13. If using a Bundt pan, be careful because the pan will be full to the top with batter.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This pound cake recipe came from Grandma Hunter's mom, Jenny Wilson Rowlett. We served it for Lou's birthday and it was a hit. It's really deserves the name "Pound Cake" because if you eat very much of it you will put on at least a pound...maybe more.
