Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2.5 c. Flour
1/2 t. salt
1c. shortening
1 egg yolk + milk to make 2/3 c. (stir together)
8-10 apples
1 (+) cup sugar
Butter
Cornflakes
Cinnamon
FROSTING: 3/4 c. powder sugar
Vanilla
Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat Oven to 375º
Cut shortening into flour and salt
Make a well in the flour mixture then add milk mixture. Toss this together then divide in half.
Roll one half to fit an 11x17 pan.
Sprinkle with 2/3 cup of corn flakes. Add 8-10 thin sliced apples (these will be mounded up... not to worry, they cook down a lot). Sprinkle 1(+) Cup of sugar then sprinkle on cinnamon to taste- and dot with butter (I use about 1/4 cup) Roll out the top crust to approximately the size of the top. This does not have to fit well, and may be patched. Beat the egg white, and spread this on the crust.

Bake for 45-60 minutes, until crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Drizzle the frosting over the crust while hot.
