1 c. dried split peas
2 1/2 quarts water in which ham hock has been cooked
1 medium onion chopped
2 c. milk
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp flour
Season to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Soak peas several hours. Drain and boil peas and onions in ham water until soft. Strain and add butter and flour cooked together. Dilute with milk and add seasoning to taste.
