1 c. raisins
2 c. water
1/2 c. butter
2 c. flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 egg
1 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins and water slowly for 10 minutes. Add butter and cool. Beat egg and add to raisin mixture. Add sugar. Sift flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves and add to mixture. Bake in greased large cookie sheet at 325 º for 25 minutes. Ice with caramel icing.
